Turned Wood as Art

 Native american Pottery in Wood

These vessels and bowls are comprised  of natural colored woods from all around the world.

Designs are based on Native American pottery of the Southwest.  Some of the designs and ideas also come from baskets, blankets and other textiles.

After designing a particular piece I cut, shape, and glue the pieces in a ring. The rings are then glued, stacked, then turned on a lathe after drying.

The number of wood pieces range from in the hundreds to the thousands.

Please have a look in the sales gallery, there are also pictures of bowls I particularily like in the bigone vessel section that have been sold.
